On March 18th, 2020 a Youtuber I follow by the name of Brian Grant proposed a challenge for himself on his ContestChampion channel. He wanted to start a new account for the mobile game Marvel’s Contest of Champions (MCOC). His goal was to see just how far he could advance in one week of playing the game. I also play MCOC and had a different thought when I heard about this challenge: Wouldn’t it be fun to make it a creative writing exercise? Play along and write a story based upon the events that occurred in-game on my new account.
Over the seven days, I took notes on any major accomplishments or notable events that my account experienced. I’m now happy to present the results of this little exercise. I quite enjoyed this little challenge, and I look forward to doing it again with both this game and possibly others. Just a legal note: I do not own the rights to any of the characters included hereafter and assert that their inclusion in this exercise constitutes “Fair Use”. Enjoy!
